Returning Officer Samiuddin Siddiqui issued a letter to the Jail Superintendent of the Karachi Central Prison to produce Waseem Akhtar under foolproof security to take oath as Mayor of Karachi.
The letter requests the jail superintendent to produce Waseem Akthar for oath taking at the office of the Mayor.
It is important to mention that the Sindh High Court has been moved by PTI leader Faisal Vawda to stop Waseem Akhtar from taking oath and the court has approved the petition for immediate hearing which is to begin shortly.
