Over 60-hours have passed and rescuers have as yet been unable to reach miners stuck 700-feet below the surface in a mine near Winder. Teams involved in the rescue operation are still 300 feet from the depth where miners are said to be stuck according to the project management team.

According to teams present on site, three people including two Chinese engineers of which one has been identified as Mr. Wang along with a local worker identified as Anwar Jamot are stuck inside the Zinc mine which is located approximately 8 kilometers from Sonmiani.

DC Lasbela Syed Zulfiqar Shah and FC have deployed teams to rescue the trapped miners. Meanwhile a special rescue team deployed from Islamabad via helicopter is also present on site to help with the rescue operation.

Mushtaq Kumboh adds that the miners are stuck at a depth where they have no access to food, water or even light. Additionally it is not clear if they have oxygen supply tanks to support life at that depth.
